Meet Jodi White & Dale Jones — A Southern Comedy Power Couple

In the world of stand-up comedy, there’s nothing more electric than timing—except maybe the spark between two comics who share the stage, the road, and the dream. For nearly 20 years, Jodi White and Dale Jones have been making audiences roar with laughter while building a life that blends punchlines, miles logged, and creative ventures.

Comedy Beginnings & Rise

Jodi White didn’t start in comedy until 38, but the moment she hit the stage, she knew it was her calling. “That first night was such a rush,” she says. “I thought, THIS is what I want to be when I grow up.”

Her early years were electric highs followed by crushing lows. “Two weeks after a great show, I died on stage. That’s when I learned: this isn’t easy—it’s going to take work.” She hustled across the country in beat-up cars, survived on fast-food, and slept at rest stops. “I was a road dog,” she laughs. Over time, she’s headlined everywhere from cruise ships to corporate events, now choosing only the projects she loves—and managing her own T-shirt brand along the way.

Dale Jones began comedy earlier—at 22—during an open mic night at Zanies in Nashville. He botched a line (“Well, I f#$%ed that up”) and got laughs anyway—and that moment set his course. With a machine-gun delivery, expressive face, and physical timing, Dale studied at the Second City Improv School, won multiple comedy festivals, and performed on Last Comic Standing, TBS’s The Very Funny Show, Stand Up Live Nashville, and even appeared in the film Out of Time with Denzel Washington.

His album I’m Not Well hit the top three on iTunes and Amazon, and his YouTube specials (I Have a Prescription Vol. 1 & 2 and Escape From Nashville) showcase his manic, high-energy style.

The “Couple Act” — Love, Laughter & Life on the Road

Being married to another comedian comes with perks—and pitfalls. “The best part is knowing this life,” Jodi says. “You feel the thrill of a great night, the sting of a bad one—you really get each other.” But “the worst part is being apart so much. I miss my best friend.”

Their relationship becomes material. “Nothing is sacred,” Jodi jokes. “Every argument, every quirk—it’s all open season.” On stage, they complement each other: Dale brings the slapstick and punchlines; Jodi crafts the emotional groundwork. “He’s physical and goofy; I’m very real.”

Offstage, they’re just Jodi and Dale: “When we’re not working, we’re off the clock,” Jodi says. “We bicker, we fight, we love hard. Missing each other makes us appreciate the time we have.”

Creative Ventures Beyond Stand-Up

When live shows ground to a halt during the pandemic, the couple leaned into their side hustle: Comedy Couple Tees, their screen-printing and custom-apparel business based in Jonesboro, Georgia. What began as a passion project is now a thriving venture offering screen printing, embroidery, and custom designs—from comedians to schools to family reunions.
“It’s like comedy,” Jodi says. “We take something blank and turn it into something joyful.” Their Etsy shop and online store ship nationwide, making this business a central pillar in their creative life.

They also produce a weekly YouTube series, “We’re the Joneses” — a 15-minute peek behind the curtain: road stories, DIY projects, and honest talks about marriage, work, and chasing creative dreams.

Social Media & Connection

Jodi White didn’t set out to be a TikTok creator, but the platform found her after a fan reposted one of her viral Facebook videos. She now uploads everything from wearing a Cinderella gown at her son’s wedding to accidentally touching an electric fence. Some succeed, some flop—but her goal is simple: to make people smile. Her followers especially love clips featuring Dale Jones. “People want to believe in love,” she says. “They love seeing couples who laugh together, fight through hard times, and still choose each day to love each other.”

Southern Roots & Signature Style
Both Jodi and Dale weave their Southern backgrounds into their comedy. Jodi was raised in Florida but claims full Southern status thanks to memories of airboat rides and swamp adventures. She leans into Southern clichés—early marriage, large families, naiveté—with humor and affection.

Their home club is the Atlanta Punchline, a rare stop in an otherwise nationwide touring schedule. “It’s always good to come back home,” Jodi says.

Advice for Aspiring Comedians

For new comics, Jodi’s message is blunt: “Get on stage 1,000 times. You can’t learn comedy in a classroom—you have to do it, again and again.”
Dale adds: “You’ll hear you’re not funny. Keep going anyway.”

Over time, their definitions of success have shifted. Jodi used to chase fame; now, she wants to earn a living telling jokes, traveling, and spreading joy. Dale? He’s still dazzled by the work: “After all these years, I still can’t believe I get paid to do this.”

Their Legacy — Building a Life by Laughter

Between touring, their YouTube series, TikTok presence, and their apparel business Comedy Couple Tees, Jodi White and Dale Jones are building a creative life that’s flexible, resilient, and deeply personal. They’ve weathered industry shifts, personal trials, and the pressure of showbiz—not by following a blueprint, but by writing their own.

“We’re not rich,” Jodi admits. “But I live a charmed life. I get to do what I love, make people laugh, create joy—and I get to do it with my best friend. I’m grateful every day.”
